Enabling Mission criticality via Java, PHP and Open source Agent based
technologies.

In Line Vehicle Sequencing (ILVS) is concerned with the "Just In Time
JIT)" delivery of motor vehicle parts directly to specific locations
on an assembly line.

With cars progressing along an assembly line at the rate of 48 seconds
per station, it can take as little as four hours to assemble a car.
The aim of ILVS is to ensure parts are available at each station to
meet the car as it arrives.

Semantia has deployed a system based on open source and agent-based
technologies to ensure accurate delivery parts to the assembly line
taking into account, the car's specifications, warehouse operations
and transport optimisation.

Key features of the approach include speed and cost of development,
enhanced reliability and failover capabilities and ease with which it
can be extended to incorporate new parts & functionality.

Keywords: ILVS, JIT, Open Source, Agent-based Technology
