At the heart of many systems that we develop, are databases. This presentation will demonstrate and highlight some features that you may wish to look for in your DBMS of choice.
Whether you need parallelism, SQL features, failover or performance, every database is different. If your Database skills are not so hot – then tools and utilities may ease your development frustration. In 30 Minutes we will look at the great – and not so great features of some open source and closed source databases.
The aim of the presentation is to give you the start of a list of features that you should look for when choosing your database platform. The presentation is to assist open source developers to choose the best database for their systems development process, not the most familiar.
